As some of you have probbably guessed, this is a male orangutan. If you didn't know how to tell the males from the females, the males have a special plate around their head. They get this when they are defintly adults. The females don't have this. I suppose the plate is just for show because orangs are pretty calm. But their can be a pretty nasty reult if you have two matture males in 1 group!!!

Most of you have probbaly guessed that this is a mother leopard and her young cub. Well I doubt it would be a male! You see the way she's licking the little guy? Her toung is pretty rough so it acts as a comb. She makes sure the baby(or cub)is defintly clean. I just wanna compare these next two pictures.

Cheetah

Leopard

Now you see the cheetah has those black markings? The leopards don't. The leopard is bigger than the cheetah. The leopard has bigger spots than the cheetah. I'm just telling you all this because lots of people get the two spotted cats mixed up.

Black panther.

I just wanna show you all that if you look really close at tyhe black panther above you will notice he has spots. This is because he is a leopard. A different type than the comman.

Dolphin.

Killer whale.

Whale.

I just wanna point out that a Dolphin is a real small whale. The killer whale is called a whale but actually is a dolphin. He is called a whale as he hunts for seals.
